Police in Maidenhead confiscated an e-bike and an e-scooter while patrolling the town centre this morning (March 24).
In a social media post with the seized e-vehicles pictured beside the Boy and Boat statue in High Street, the force said Thames Valley Police officers had stopped the owners for driving in a public place.
They added one of the owners had been reported for riding with no insurance – which carries a £300 fine penalty and 6 points on their licence.
In a post on Facebook, police said: “We'd rather not seize your precious e-vehicle, so please don't use it in a public place.”
