The quarter-of-a-million-pound refurbishment of a Grade II listed pub in Farnham Royal has left the publicans 'delighted'.
The Dukes Head on Farnham Road has been transformed into a family-friendly local serving a wide selection of pub classics and specialising in sports and entertainment.
The pub dates to the early seventeenth century and has been carefully renovated to include new signage and outdoor lighting.
A revamped rear garden also boasts new furniture, festoon lighting and planting.
Publican Jennie Lynford said: "Everyone is delighted with the refurbishment, which is better than we had imagined.
“All-day food, fantastic surroundings and lots planned mean there's plenty to enjoy at The Dukes Head. Do pop in and see for yourself; you'll be given a warm welcome."
The £275,000 makeover has seen an upgrade of the dated interior with a new décor that is sympathetic to the building’s character and ‘keeps its charm’.
Features such as the fireplace, slate floors and old beams have been restored and retained alongside new furniture, carpets and soft furnishings.
Warm heritage colours have brightened the pub, and a kitchen refit has been undertaken, enabling The Dukes Head to introduce all-day food.
The menu offers a selection of burgers, pizzas, curries and pub classics, like steak & ale pie and fish & chips.
There are also options for children, and Sunday lunches are a feature. The drinks range is equally varied, spanning craft beer, cocktails and fresh coffee.
The Dukes Head now comprises a cosy snug and a comfortable lounge and dining area, as well as a timber-floored bar featuring a darts zone complete with a halo-lit board and electronic scoring.
A high-spec AV system with Sky and TNT Sports will show all the major sports tournaments.
